Kott Koatings is the original resurfacing company in America. Founded in the Detroit area in 1953, now in California, specifically for refinishing porcelain it has evolved into the world leader in resurfacing products with dealerships in 51 nations and 22 time zones. This product is the only "glaze" on the market.
Our process has standards to the industry with a few exceptions. All refinishers use drop-cloths, tape, paper, HVLP spray guns and ventilation to refinish tubs. Our product adheres so well we don't need to use dangerous acids to etch the surface of your tub or tile. Many companies still use dangerous acids to create microscopic scratches in the surface of your tub and tile to increase the bond between their product and your surface. We can bake the tub to offer a 24 hour turn around (additional cost) otherwise it is a 72 hour cure process.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our site. What you are about to read will seem to good to be true. It is not too good, but it is true. Upon entering this company within the last year I realized that we had the potential to change the tourism, hospitality and residential property maintenance business permanently and completely.
Urethane Paints Cause Cancer - Urethane paints (like the ones described as "acrylics" by our competition) are known to cause cancer. Occupational Safety & Health Administration lists these products as carcinogens. They regulate them and provide consistent warnings. Below is an excerpt from a letter that was sent to the industry from a leading manufacturer.

I wish I had the ability to post before or after pictures, the difference is amazing. I researched multiple options to get rid old scruddie tub and shower. I cleaned and cleaned but the look never changed. This company did an amazing job. I am so happy with the final product. If I had all the money in the world, I would not have chosen any other method or company. This is a two day process with one day in between, and done. Very little mess and technician did a great job cleaning what ever little mess was left.

Jonathan was great and did a great job refinishing my bath tub, he showed up when he said and I was very happy with the final results. I let him in in the morning and left him there with my dog to do his job when I went to work by the time I came home the job was just getting finished and he made great friends with my 100 lb. black lab DIESEL 5 STAR highly recommend

Custom Glaze did an awesome job in our master bath. Arnold was extremely professional, punctual and detail oriented, just what you want when you are having work done in your home. We had our wall tile, including the shower walls and tub refaced. Any of Benjamin Moore colors were available. We chose silver grey which is a warm gray that coordinated with out floor, which could not be changed. The whirlpool tub was changed to white from peach. The bathroom is amazing! Thank you, Arnold, you made an ugly room a joy!

Unethical business practices and shoddy work. This company was contracted to complete a repair of an acrylic tub during my home purchase. Instead of properly supporting the tub and repairing the crack/hole properly, they simply glazed over the crack (a pretty serious spiderweb type crack that you could put a finger through). The tub looked great and passed my inspection, but one step into the tub (first week after moving in) brought the hole right back.
Custom Glaze refused to fix the issue, despite having provided a transferable warranty on their work, claiming that they only completed a re-glazing (despite the obvious need for a more structural repair and the knowledge that the crack would reappear as soon as the tub was used. Despite being given an opportunity to make the situation right, the owner refused. I don't trust this company and would never hire them.

We're so pleased with the work that Custom Glaze has done in our bathroom. We have a clawfoot tub that was really showing its age. A friend referred us to the company and it was a no-brainer deciding to have them reglaze the tub rather than spending the money to replace it. The final product is beautiful; I imagine it looks like it did when it was first installed, decades ago!
Of course, we wanted the sink vanity to match, so we had them reglaze that as well. They were professional, fast (finished both pieces in one afternoon) and clean. I would certainly recommend Custom Glaze to anybody looking to refresh their bathroom or kitchen in a quality way on a reasonable budget.
