Services
Best Sand & Gravel, Inc. was founded in 1969 by Gordon Best. In the beginning, we were a small sand and gravel operation that delivered materials to local farmers, contractors, and residential areas. In 1972, Gordon incorporated the company and was soon joined in the business by his son, Tom. Gordon saw that Tom learned every aspect of the business, from washing the sand to delivering the material to the various sites. After researching the market, they recognized the potential for growth and the company evolved into the grading business.
Our screenings make an excellent driveway material, the 'fines' of our ABC Crushed Concrete. Once spread & compacted you can be rest assured this material will set for a aesthetically pleasing, and affordable driveway alternative. Earthwork associated with the excavation of an area 65 Feet deep. The Project consisting of 45,000 CY of excavation & backfill for the expansion of an existing WWTP.
Used in cement, swimming pools, sand boxes. It's fine texture also makes an acceptable replacement for beach sand in applications like sand volleyball courts. A key ingredient in cement or hot asphalt, can also be used as pipe sand or as a base layer and leveling medium for above ground pools. Recycled Concrete is a superior product often used for construction applications, road base, and backfill.

The absolute best people to deal with in and around wayne County. Ordered gravel for the driveway, was delivered when they said it would be and spread it out for me as well, wasn't expecting that, had my wheelbarrow and shovel ready, so they went above and beyond. I spoke with Brooks the day before Thanksgiving and he was willing to help me figure out what I needed and how much! He told me Jerry was a very good driver and just let him know what we wanted and he was very kind and helpful! I had called Best Sand & Gravel to do a job for my ditch drainage. I talked with a nice young man "Cameron Strickland" who took great care of me. He and another gentleman came out on Saturday morning while I was at work and did the job exactly as he stated he would. I would highly recommend Cameron and Best Sand & Gravel to anyone.

I ended up needing some rocks delivered last minute and I notified them very short notice. They worked me in and had my rocks delivered shortly after (same day). Now I am having dirt ordered from them for a lot, also short notice and they worked me right in. Definitely caring people and will do all they can to help you!

Money well spent! Had my property graded and top soil applied. Then had them put down crush and run for the driveway. They did an excellent job, and the whole process only took about 3 days from contacting them to the survey and then the work and final product. Very friendly and professional staff! I would recommend them to anyone needing this type of work done.
