One of your employees lives on the same street as my father. while staying there to take care of him, your employee left a note on my car telling me to not park there any more. it is a public street parking spot. the employee has a very long driveway that was empty and could park in it, but doesn't. I'm submitting this to the Aston police as well. this employee is clearly not very stable.

The Oliver service guys, Ron & Brian, were excellent! They arrived on time, reviewed the job, started to work immediately, and continued through lunchtime to complete the Heater-A/C install. They cleaned up and disassembled the old Heater-A/C for recycling. Great job! Thank you. Services: A/C system repair, A/C system maintenance

We had olivers install a new AC unit several years ago and have had a service coverage plan and warranty with them ever since. They are happy to process the annual payment. They say they will call and schedule an annual service which is required and part of the payment for the plan to be valid, but the reality is you have to do it every year. This year on top of that they never showed up for the service two weeks ago that was scheduled months in advance.

Now i have been calling every other day because all you can get is an automated answer that asks you to leave a number and they will call you back. Well five calls in and two weeks later they have still not called me back. You can go to the website and do a chat but it's just a BOT that asks for your information and says they will call you back.

A/C just stopped working. They said for $89.00 to come out to the house. Of course, in 5 minutes they are saying the A/C is 28 years fired and just to get the salesman for a news AC. Then comes me out a $250 for us, but willing to use the $250 out of the new AC. The new salesman comes out the next day. Had known my father that they are expensive. Salesman a little pissed after I had known him we in the morning had another HVAC second opinion. Oliver seems to tell me that on June 1st they are getting a new 13-18% increase.

After the BS knows us for $21,000. Asking how the new HVAC just turned up $7,000 and how their maintenance is more. Really 300% is that much better? How profit the salesman taking $10,000 for him? Never for them assume. Now they are worst than Horizon.

Absolute scam of a company. Stay away from them at all costs unless you want to pay thousands of dollars in repair costs that should cost only hundreds. I inherited an Oliver heating system from the previous owners of a property I purchased in Ridley Park, PA. The heating system broke down even though the previous owners had installed it only a few years prior. Oliver had password protected the system so any other HVAC tech would be unable to access it; they then charged exorbitant fees just to assess the problem, which was a broken motor.

They charged $2,500 to replace the motor, which is probably about 6-7x what it should cost. While replacing the motor, they also determined that a circulator pump was broken. That cost $2,000 to replace, which is also about 6-7x what it should cost. I've never felt like I've been more ripped off by a company in my life. They're absolute crooks and would not recommend them to anyone.

Technicians Clint, Ron & Anthony C were extremely courteous, helpful & efficient. They showed up on time, were very neat by laying drop clothes throughout the they area that they were accessing. And answered all the questions that I asked. Great team that installed my new HVAC Heat Pump. Thank You, Bill West Chester

Brian, Clint, and Anthony were great! The whole process of installing our new heating/cooling system went smoothly and they explained everything as they went so that we always felt we understood what was happening. I highly recommend this company and this team!

Jesse, Tom, and Jeff installed central A/C in the second floor of our 100+ year old home. They were on time, professional, and most importantly, did an excellent job. No damage at all to our brittle plaster ceilings. After the install Jesse took the time to explain how the system worked. Great group to work with.

We purchased their AC maintenance package for our brand new system. The technician showed up and said he thought there might be something weird with the wiring, but he wasn't sure, so a senior technician would be out that same day or the next day to take a look. It wasn't until over a week later that the senior technician came by to take a look, and then he surprised us with a $250 bill! What a scam!

Just purchased a home in Kennett Square, and it has a Heat Pump installed by Oliver. We wanted to know more about the system, and have it inspected to ensure it's working optimally. I was easily able to get on the schedule, and Walter came out to service the unit. He did an amazing job of going over the entire system, and patiently explained what he was doing, and things I need to be aware of. Walter was incredibly professional and courteous. He's the kind of technician you want coming to your home! Thanks for the great first experience Walter. We will definitely be using Oliver for work in the future.

Oliver installed a new hot water heater, air conditioner and gas furnace and they cleaned my ducts. They were knowledgeable, professional and honest from the initial call, through the sales and installation processes. The techs that came to my home were really nice and did a great job. I am very impressed with Oliver and highly recommend them.

I previously used Oliver to service some issues with my furnace (see old review). This past Friday I had the chance to use their plumbing services. It all started when I went to use my hose to rinse my bird feeders, but when I turned it on the water pressure was very low. I then noticed that water was pouring out from under the siding of my house.

I shut-off the hose and went inside to find my basement covered with water. The hose line had burst! And not only that, it was located RIGHT ABOVE MY CIRCUIT BREAKER. Needless to say, this wasn't something I wanted to drag out. I called Oliver and a plumber (Tony) was at my house no less than an hour later. He isolated the issue, explained how it happened, and offered me some resolutions.

I opted to have him replace the pipe and to also have him install a hose-specific shut-off valve. He did all of this in about 90 minutes and also replaced the drop-ceiling tiles and cleaned up after himself. Anyone entering my basement that evening would have been none the wiser to the earlier scene. Oliver is definitely not cheap, but they are QUICK and have a lot of skilled technicians in their employ.

In an emergent situation regarding my water heater, the female I spoke with (in their office) one early afternoon in January 2022 was very professional, efficient, and helpful. After briefly discussing type of water heater, cost, etc., she advised someone was scheduled to come to my home (later that evening/night). The plumber did arrive. He was pleasant and efficient, and replaced the water heater.

He patiently and eagerly answered all of my questions, and was very helpful. He even stated that he appreciated that I asked questions because he is passionate about what he does. When he left, it was as if there had been no problem at all (.no mess, etc.). The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the price point appeared to be a little high in comparison to several other companies.but it was an emergency. Besides that, my experience was great and I would recommend them.

Maintenance is a scam. Techs are nice, but the office/bosses only care about money. Prices for service are higher than most, they negotiate on equipment. Like many reviews say, the maintenance plans are sketchy, somehow don't cover whatever problem you're having. After a few years on a maintenance contract on the gas heater/AC they installed, we learned that the humidifier wasn't covered, and that they never serviced it or mentioned that it wasn't being checked/maintained.

We found out because a few weeks after this year's service visit, the humidifier leaked and the office was only too happy to tell us we should have been paying extra, even though it wasn't offered or mentioned. I would have been happy to pay for the additional work - I had a similar leak before and know it's worthwhile. Thanks for the wet carpet.

We had a serviceman give us a quote for 2,600 to fix our heater. Another serviceman from a different co quoted 436. He cleaned the furnace and pushed the reset button and it worked. We are so mad.

We called for an estimate to add approximately 15 foot of natural gas line (tap into existing tee) to hook up a gas range. My husband was told when he called that the fee would be $89.00 for them to come out and provide us with an estimate. When the technician arrived in our kitchen, he advised us that there would also be an additional analysis fee of $107.00, which was never previously mentioned.

Apparently the $89.00 is just an arrival fee! Very dishonest if you ask me. The estimate for this work was $l, 122.00, unless we signed up for their plumbing maintenance plan and then the cost would be $1,009.80, which we thought was still quite outrageous for the relatively small job. Needless to say, we're not doing business with Oliver Heating and Cooling again.

First.the review : They suck, they lie, they over sell, over promise and over charge. Stay away, stay far away. They call right back (in the beginning). But once they make a sale they refuse to call back. Actually, that only applies to the SALES staff (specifically JASON). The INSTALLATION staff was excellent. Very helpful and very responsive. They were actually the ones who advised us that the salesman had sold us a unit that was three times too big (AKA 3x more expensive) for our house and refused to install it. Now.the facts: It 's 100 degrees, our central air dies and I'm out of town.

Our regular HVAC guy can't make it, so my wife calls oliver. They came right out - on a weekend - and promised us the moon and stars. A bit pricey (actually, VERY pricey).but like I said it's a hundred degrees, in August. They showed up, when they said and ripped out the dead unit. Then the installation guys discovered that the salesman (JASON) has sold us a unit that was three times too big for our house.

They said it would never work right and would give us nothing but problems. So now it's the Friday before a Monday holiday and the salesman said they would be back on Tuesday, with the right size unit. But, "the scheduler would call to confirm". Another four days without AC. The installation guys warned us that the sales & scheduling staff tend to stretch the truth and they did not believe the promise of Tuesday.

They were right. No confirmation call from the scheduler and no response to our numerous calls made over the holiday weekend. ( Funny thing, they worked weekends when they were trying to make the sale.just not AFTER the sale - I mean OVERsale ). Tuesday morning.no service guys show.we start the phone calls again. Still just automated phone trees and voice mail.

No response to numerous messages left. SO.we "push 1" for "NEW" customers. Surprise, surprise, a real live person answers on the first ring for a NEW CUSTOMER! Yeah.once they have you on the hook they leave you hanging. But they are more than happy to speak live with fresh meat! Told them to cancel the order.we'd rather sweat than deal with liars. AGAIN, installers ( the guys who actually work for a living ) = 5 stars.

The sales staff ( the guys who lie for a living ) = ZER0 stars. ( Except for the LYING part - in that regard they are the best). If there were zero stars I would award it to them. The five stars earned by the install techs is reduced to a 1 by the lying staff ( aka sales staff ). Sorry, but a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link.

I recently was discharged from the hospital and was not in the best shape when we had a problem with our cooling only after being five days at home. It was a Monday and ninety degrees when I made the call, so the entire HVAC biz was going crazy with Monday morning service calls ( I knew this because I used to be in the business) Oliver sent a great guy who got us running again in no time, I am extremely impressed and grateful and highly recommended Oliver.

Very unreliable as far as honoring their service contract. One time I waited 5 hours for a scheduled appointment and they never showed up. Tonight I have been waiting since 3pm and I just got a call that they will not be here till 9:30

Discount for service plan not applied to service call. Discount on repair parts not applied. Tech damaged unit which he admitted to and promised to have corrected. Oliver has gotten too big to effectively service their clients. Four hour service call is now 8 hours. Service contract guarantees you nothing. One tech told us that the price he quoted was only good while he was there. Once he left, the quote was not valid.

Oliver's work is O.K., but their prices are absurd. I called to have a toilet replaced. They said there was an $89 "arrival fee" which is high. (I live 5 minutes from their business.) But I understand that they won't come out for nothing. Many businesses have an initial charge, which they deduct from the final bill if you end up having the work done.

Not Oliver. The thing that clinched my bad review was their $101 "Analysis Fee." I told them I needed a toilet installed. What's to analyze? So, I ended up paying almost $200 on top of their marked up parts and overpriced labor charges. Do not use Oliver.

Called these jokers to come out and quote some work I need done. They quoted controls that didn't even work with my system. I had to do my own homework to find this out. I paid them 89$ to come out and quote me stuff that doesn't even work with my system. They give their product lines a bad name. I will never call them again for anything.

Back in Oct we had a power outage that knocked our a/c out. First guy came out & "diagnosed" the problem. Second guy came out to "fix" the problem. First guy had to come back to resolve the situation. The unit needed a new motherboard & wireless thermostat. Problem solved. Last week after snowstorm power was going off & on & it knocked the heater off.

We called on a Thurs, said they would be out next day. My husband, who is a General Contractor had to jiggle power switch, which was replaced in Oct, on unit & heat came back on. We waited awhile to see if it would stay on. It did, so we called Oliver back to say it wasn't necessary to send someone. Yesterday we came home to no heat again. My husband fooled with switch, heat went on but we still called for service.

Guy comes out says its not switch, its transformer. Meanwhile I give him a check fo$1100 for transformer & he recommended a surge protector & maintenance contract. Had to come back today to install. Well, wasn't the transformer. It "might" be an electrical problem. Someone else would have to come out tomorrow. No! Someones coming out tonite. We couldnt go w/o heat for another night. Says he called his boss.

Someone would be calling me. Then he left. We never got a phone call! I called & texted the tec & he never returned my messages. Meanwhile my grands were supposed to come over for me to babysit but now I have to go there. So now my husband has to lose a day of work to wait for someone to come back. If the guys that came out in Oct suggested we wouldn't have had this problem.

Short Summary: I cannot recommend OLIVER services at all. Their sales approach has been shady and was based on pressure on the street! The results of their work do neither reflect any customer service oriented approach nor does it show quality of workmanship. Otherwise, I cannot explain why for the same problem multiple technicians have to come out to fix it over and over again an (bleeding a radiator!).

Reason for my impression of OLIVER Heating services: I called OLIVER to service a radiator heating system. They found "major issues" and immediately shut off the entire system. Since I was not at the house when they did this, I was called to come over. As soon as I arrived, they caught me in front of my house. There were 2 OLIVER guys who brought up pressuring sales talk.

They wanted me to choose from 3 options right now. All these options costs' were from $2,000 up to $6,000, "The Cadillac" of heating systems how they called it. Of course, I wanted to see the options/offers on paper to evaluate them and to get another opinion. They refused to hand out anything written about their offer. I was told I only can choose one of those 3 options. Furthermore, they stated I have to pay that right now right here to get this started.

Since the entire heating system has been shut down, this was an intense pressuring moment. At this point, I rejected everything. They should invoice their "service fee" which was the reason I called them and then leave. He processed my payment of $99 for an "inspection" (09/11/2020). During the processing of the payment, I learned that a normal repair of my system with some replacement parts is $729.

This was not an option on their "top secret options list" before. So, I asked for this repair which was done by Oliver (09/18/2020). A few weeks later after this "service" and "repair" the heating season started. Now guess what: the system did not heat properly. I called again and asked if they tested the system which they serviced and repaired a few weeks before. OLIVER wanted me to preauthorize $89 for them just to come out and check their very own "work". Additionally, I had to authorize $150 in case of any repairs needed.

The heating system did not work because the radiators had not been bleed during their inspections and repairs before. For this bleeding service now they have charged $247.20 (11/09/2020). To compare this kind of service situation: Imagine you go to a car shop for an inspection and they say all is fine. But then you realize the car does not have tires at all.

It is a car, but will not drive! This is exactly what happened to me with OLIVER. They serviced my heating system - but did not check if it heats. Really? Again, now a few weeks later the heating system did not work. I called to make them fix their own work again. They refused to come out and fix it unless I preauthorize $89 again. A service guy showed up by 8:30 pm. He bled the radiator again. This time they did not charge just the authorized $89. No, they took $199 that has not been authorized (12/10/2020)!

Had an issue with our nest thermostat not working correctly due to incorrect wiring from a prior vendor installation. Brandon from Oliver was able to diagnose and troubleshoot the issue and quickly correct the wiring making the Nest thermostat function as designed. Brandon is very knowledgeable and conscientious about his work.

We had them come out to service our water softener back in April. I told them it was a Rainsoft system when I made the appointment. The plumber who came out told me that it was not working and quoted me $700 to remove it because Oliver do not carry parts for my system. Or I could contact the manufacturer for parts. I paid $93 for the call out and $85 to diagnose the issue. Frustrated, I got a second opinion and turns out there is nothing at all wrong with our water softener.

I complained to Oliver and they refunded the callout fee but said the plumber made a diagnosis (an incorrect one!) so I would have to take a hit on the diagnosis fee. They tried to claim that although they can't replace parts for my system theres usually not much of an issue with the systems so they come out to all systems. Bottomline don't come out to systems that you can't repair!

Its essentially ripping customers off! Assuming the system was broken what was the point me paying you to come out and tell me that its broken if you can't fix it? Also you diagnosed it incorrectly to make matters worse! Just thankful I didn't pay them $700 to remove a perfectly good water softener! I wouldn't trust them again at all! Beware! Also most plumbers charge a callout fee to diagnose the issue. Not a callout PLUS diagnosis fee.

Have been using Oliver since about 2000. Really can't see us using them again. Our A/C broke. Called them out. $89 call out fee. Fair enough. First technician canceled - did not know about our system. No problem. Second technician comes out. Charges us an additional $100 for the privilege of telling us he can't fix it and that we should call the manufacturer.

So we did, and got it fixed with the help of another company. I sent two or three emails asking for more information about this extra charge, but received no reply. (I did get a voicemail after a couple of days saying they'd send someone else out to look at the unit but, by that point, we were up and running.) Seems to me that if you can't fix something then the $89 call-out-fee should be all you're charging.
