Kingsmill Remodeling

Thanks to the Kingsmill team for their work to finish our basement project. The process went smoothly and the result met all of my expectations. I would recommend this team and would work with them on future projects. And, extra thanks to both Mike and Ryan who were professional and knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with throughout the process.

Critical: Responsiveness Trying to have egress windows installed in our house, and we had several promises from Chip that someone would be out for an estimate, etc, but nobody ever came out. Followup calls to the business have not been answered, so we've basically been ghosted through no fault of our own.

My husband and I worked with Kingsmill Remodeling to have a custom bar installed in the basement of our home. From start to finish, Chip and his team were in constant communication with us. They started by surveying the space and providing expert consultation on our vision. This was within a week of reaching out. Then, through the use of advanced technology, we were provided with a virtual diagram of what the bar would look like. Discussions were held in concert to tweak designs, until we had the perfect product.

From start to finish, Chip, Ryan & Mike continued to (1) constantly communicate and qualify our needs and concerns (2) create a plan that worked for us and (3) show up to execute the plan when they said they would. The experience was outstanding, and the end result is/was better than we could have imagined! I'd strongly recommend using this contractor for any basement remodeling and custom bar projects!

Chip helped us custom design a perfect 6 person bar for our basement. The design process included CAD drawings so we could see exactly what we were purchasing, and he was patient with several design tweaks so that I was able to get the exact look I wanted. He was able to accommodate adding an additional item (ottoman tabletop), and communicated regularly with updates on project including photos while construction was ongoing offsite. Ryan & Mike handled the install of the bar, they communicated in advance estimated arrival and completion time.

They completed install ahead of quoted time, and were friendly and professional during all interactions. The bar itself is sturdy and beautifully finished, fully worth the investment we made in the basement. I would recommend to any friend or family member looking for a basement bar.

We hired Kingsmill to build and install a custom bar in our basement as well as some other remodeling work. We had Kingsmill build a bar for our basement out of cherry. We gave Chip the dimensions for the area and with discussion we agreed on the project. They recently installed custom built cabinets for a home bar and reconfigured an antique bar that we had already purchased into the design maintaining its original character while being able to blend the old with new making it look absolutely beautiful! Chip was great to work with and Jeff and his team are master craftsmen. What was the most impressive was the timeframe that they were able to complete it (one month).

It was an extensive amount of work, and they do quality work! I had contacted several local companies and am glad we landed with them. They have been doing this for years and are the best in the business-don't bother going anywhere else!
