In 1957, Amos Sexton embarked on a career as a sales representative for a kitchen furniture company. His territory was the Southeastern United States. The company flourished and grew into a family operation with multiple warehouses and showrooms in a number of Southern states. His son, Don Sexton, moved his family to Nashville to expand the company in 1986.
From new home construction, to full kitchen remodels, commercial casework and more, we strive to provide excellent service with your budget in mind. Please browse our kitchen gallery to view stock, semi-custom and fully custom cabinetry as well as a variety of cabinetry construction options such as Inset, Full overlay and Traditional overlay.
As with kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling is a detailed and complex process that combines many skills including architecture, interior design, mechanical and construction skills. Many of the options that are available for kitchen cabinets are also available for bathroom cabinets. Great Kitchens has been designing and creating luxurious bathroom retreats for over 25 years. As in kitchen design, our staff will bring your bathroom to life with three dimensional CAD drawings depicting each selection you have made.
When designing a kitchen, it is important to begin by choosing your appliances. Once the appliances are chosen, the cabinetry and the kitchen are created around them. Cabinetry normally accounts for about half the total cost of your remodeling project and will have the greatest impact on your budget.

We had a great experience with team designing and installing the cabinets in our home. Some shortcuts were taken in master bathroom area and they didn't come back to address them after multiple attempts but we never posted a negative review. Two years later, we decided we wanted to make some modifications. HORRIBLE customer service. Literally took me two years to get a call through and they basically said they aren't interested in helping you no matter how much your willing to pay.
Sad thing is that we were willing to pay. This company chases new business and doesn't care about previous customers. Buyer beware! Living with regret we chose this company for our kitchen designer.

Yes, great at first, then it goes downhill. Their cabinet line is top quality & the installation was spot on. The issues are in customer service -- I agree with the previous review in that Brooke is great at first but after install you'll never be able to get in touch - she doesn't return calls or answer email. The owner was aware of some issues and came out-- made a show of fixing the problem but in actuality it wasn't resolved. I can no longer refer clients to them, as their bad customer service will ultimately reflect on me. I know there are other reputable and quality cabinet companies out there.

Renovating our home I went to Ferguson's Plumbing supplies for fixtures. I have used Ferguson in our last home and wanted to use them again. I can't say enough nice things about Ferguson's choices. I went to Great Kitchens. Brooke Puetz was very knowledgeable and seemed helpful.at first. I received a picture of a few cabinets and a proposed cost of 30,000.
Prior to leaving the store, Brooke said she would send me a list and itemize the costs. The email I received was as follow: "You would be looking around $30,000 for your cabinets (kitchen, dining, and extra storage room), give or take depending on if add or take away anything. Price Includes. -Tax -Delivery -Installation -Hardware -Roll out trays -Pull out trash can Let me know if you to finalize things and work on more firm numbers and drawings!" I contacted Brooke by email and followed up with phone calls.
Radio silent. My husband called Great Kitchens and didn't hear anything. Obviously Great Kitchen doesn't need customers. The renovation experience has been interesting. I will be posting about the good bad and ugly of the experiences. My recommendation: Williams Cabinets in Smyrna, owner Donnie is extremely helpful.
