How long will a plaster surface last? The secret to long life of any pool surface is properly maintained water balance. Improper water balance will destroy any pool surface and in many cases, void the warranty of that surface. A plaster surface, in a properly maintained pool, can last 15 to twenty five years. Can our existing swimming pool be transformed into something we saw in a magazine?

Terry and his guys were fantastic. They made the entire process completely stress free and I wouldn't hesitate to hire Aqua Pool Renovations for any jobs in the future. We couldn't be happier with our pool renovation. Terry's suggestions for the tile and coping resulted in a beautiful end product. Service: Remodeling

Terry worked with us every step of the way. Even though we went off the reservation with our material Terry got us exactly what we wanted. The crew that came out and did the tile work was awesome! They were very professional and really pleasant to be around. The quality of work was second to none. We had an small issue with our coping about 2 months after completion Terry's crew was out here within hours to correct. Each crew that came out for our remodel was very professional. Thank you Aqua Pool Renovations for an excellent experience even at the times we may have been difficult.

I had my pool replastered and new tile band and coping tile replaced. The finished product is excellent. The cost was competitive with three other proposals and the job was started and completed on schedule. I typically do not give five star ratings unless I am thoroughly satisfied. I highly recommend Terry and his crew.

Was time for a replaster and chose Aqua Pool Renovations for the work. The company owner showed up with the workers, but did not stay to supervise any work and only showed up again to pick up payment upon project completion. A problem began to show in the plaster just 3-4 months later, and the owner refused to do anything about it. We eventually had to pay another pool company to repair it. Very dissatisfied.

I waited a good while, 3 years, to write this review to see how the work held up. I now apologize for not writing it sooner to anyone it may have helped avoid this company. We hired Terry to renovate our pool including adding a tanning shelf, a waterfall with LED lighting, changes to the steps, new quartz plaster, and new travertine coping, I was adamant before starting that the project had to be finished by a specific time or I did not want to start it.
That date was missed by about 2 weeks. The written contract had specifics about the process. Those specifics were not followed. When I questioned it, Terry said, "that's not the way it's done". The initial install of the coping was a complete fail as the subs cut every piece wrong, it actually had made in Mexico stamps showing. I questioned this several times as well as poor quality corner cuts, was told not to worry it would look great when finished.
Only one of the subs workers spoke English and he'd been with the company 3 weeks. It all had to be removed and completely redone which Terry did do. I had to point out that the tile was being put in incorrectly, that had to be fixed. There were big gaps in the waterfall veneer that had to be filled. There were foot prints in the final plaster that he said would go away with time.
I brushed as per his direction everyday. They are still there. The quartz was an expensive add on but it was finished so poorly, I wished I would have saved the money. The waterfall LEDs began to fail before the first year was up. The grout is falling out of the tile. The waterfall plumbing is leaking outside the pool. Three weeks after they finished, my pool light was floating.
When they removed and replaced it they didn't bother to tell me the screw was complete disintegrated. They were supposed to remove pavers behind the waterfall and ready the area for planting. They were so far behind that my son and I spent a day and a half doing that for which Terry knocked off a $100. He said he had forgotten about it. To summarize, the coping is still uneven with poorly matched corners, the grout is falling out, the waterfall has to be repaired, the LED lights don't work in one area, the footprints are still there.
All in all, I feel I wasted $24,000, because I will be redoing it very soon. Response to company owner: First of all, you did not fix the pool light, that is a lie. You told me about the wedge, I bought it and I fixed it. Secondly, I did absolutely express concern about the footprints, you said brush it every day and they will go away. You also said when installing the waterfall lights that the top has to be taken off the waterfall to change them out.
I did not want any of your subs back out here. Next, I have the written contract. It says "holes are drilled in the old plaster prior to applying the new" you said no it isn't done that way, it also says "cinder blocks will be used to build tanning shelf", you dumped broken pieces from other jobs in there, no blocks were used. Lastly, it took me a long time to clean off the plaster your crews got all over my pavers and the more you look at something the more you notice.
The mortar between tiles and coping has been falling out a little at a time. The waterfall started spewing water yesterday which is why I finally posted. I never called because I never wanted your guys back out here. As usual, you put the blame on the home owner, act as though they are stupid and dismiss any negative reviews. Your arrogant if nothing else.

Wow! This company is superb - start to finish! From the honest evaluation at the time of an estimate, to scheduling, to efficient work, to the quality and timliness of work done, to the responsiveness when we had thousands of questions - we were and are impressed! If we could add a "plus" to our five stars, we would!

In Spring 2013 we had our large pool re-tiled and re-plastered by Aqua Pool Renovations. Sometime thereafter we noticed a small discoloration on the pool bottom and subsequently a number of other spots appeared. In fall 2016 a circular section of the bottom plaster blistered up and cracked off. We contacted Aqua Pool Renovations, whose initial response was that there was only a one year guarantee on this job, now expired. However, after an inspection they agreed to do a repair at no cost.
The work has now been completed, comprising complete removal of the old plaster from the entire pool and application of new plaster. The work was done efficiently and apparently both thoroughly and well. We are very grateful to Aqua Pool Renovations and its President Terry Lonatro, and believe that due recognition is deserved for their professional attitude and performance in this re-work.
