Called for an estimate on two bathroom remodels for our house. In talking to them on the phone they indicated they would be on the high end of the costs and didn't want to come out if that was an issue for us. I said, no, it wasn't an issue. So, a very nice man came out to take pictures, answer questions and take information back to the 'team'.

He said he was more into sales than design, but we were impressed with him. He said he would email the estimate within a week. After two weeks, I emailed him and asked about the estimate. There was no answer to that email. At least repsond and say, we can't go forward with the project for whatver reason but don't ignore us. It feels like our project was not designer' enough for them or that we were not going to spend the money they would want. Not true. Very disapointed. I understand being busy, but again, communication is key.

R.L. Rider just recently completed an interior remodel job for us. All I can say is that they far exceeded our expectations in the work that they did. Their quality of work and attention to detail are unbelievable. If your looking for cheap, these are not your guys. RL Rider recently remodeled our bathroom. They did a fantastic job and exceeded expectations! The entire team was professional and kind throughout the process. They stayed within our budget, did top quality work and finished the project on schedule.

We requested a large paver patio, fire pit, retaining wall, and composite decking be installed late fall of 2020. We interviewed several builders/contractors in the greater Lansing area, and chose RL Rider based on their excellent reviews, determination to win the bid, and immediate personal connection. From day 1, the team at RL Rider was friendly, engaged, and professional.

Not only did they accommodate each of our requests, but they offered creative suggestions and expertise throughout the project. When unexpected issues arose, they worked with us to solve the issues quickly. Communication is important to us. The RL Rider team responded quickly to each text, phone call, and email. As for the project itself, the results have exceeded our expectations.

The new space is beautiful and well built. The team already plans to do another inspection in the Spring after the ground has thawed, just to make sure everything is perfect. We are already planning our next home improvement project and RL Rider will be the first builder we contact.

Even though they had the high bid, we hired this company hoping that the higher price meant no headaches, and problems were fixed quickly. Boy were we wrong! 1. They installed a new roof. It leaks. 2. They installed 4 new bedroom replacement windows. They are so difficult to move, they are practically un-openable, the trim falls off easily, and the windows look odd because the upper and lower sashes aren't they same proportions to the windows they replaced. 3.

They painted the whole exterior, and it pealed so badly, we had to have it completely redone 3 years later. Ended up taking them to small claims court where we won on paint and lost on the windows.

R. L. Rider did an amazing job on a kitchen remodel for us. They were not the least expensive contractor I talked with but I liked their process and felt confident in their knowledge so I decided to go with them over some other companies. Their designer used my ideas, gave his input, and came up with the perfect end result. They delivered the job on time and with no changes along the way - I'm very pleased with R. L. Rider's entire team!

Couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. We had our master bath remodeled and the team at RL Rider did an amazing job. The entire team was patient, helpful and able to help us bring our plan on paper to life. I used the services of RL Rider for a finished basement project during the summer. During all the phases of the project, the different teams that completed the project (from drywall construction workers, to electricians, to carpenters, to painters, carpet installers and the management office) worked with great professionalism: punctual, courteous and efficient.

They ensured the house was securely locked when they left at the end of their work day and when we were not home, and handled my house furniture, floors and walls with great care, when making their way toward the basement and moving construction materials around. When I had questions about the timeline or other important project details such as basement floor plans that work best for our specific needs or to place specific orders or any concern, the management was always prompt to respond and addressed my concerns and questions fully, immediately and courteously.

Though the time window that I had to complete this project was relatively a tight one, RL Rider earnestly explored all the possible options to accommodate the schedule needs of my family. My family and I are highly satisfied with the finished product and already enjoying the new space addition to our house. I would recommend their services without any hesitation.

Cam and crew did excellent work on a huge job for me. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for any job (large or small). From Cam's excellent communication throughout the project, to the care and craftsmanship of his team - I can't praise RL Rider highly enough.
