We thought we needed a second zone. Glen Pack came and solved the problem without the expense of putting in a second zone. That's customer service you can trust. Jerry has come several times for semi-annual maintenance. He is very thorough and always explains what is going on. Great job. We have referred them to others who have had the same experience. Thanks John

Jerry has been our technician the past few visits and he always does a thorough job. He always makes sure our units are safely running and will bring matters to our attention on site, fully explaining everything. Someone always follows up when recommendations are made on a service visit. We have used other hvac companies in the past and we couldn't be happier with Pack-Timco.

I have been a customer of Pack-Timco for over 30 years and I am so happy with this company. Not only are they knowledgeable but friendly, honest and so responsive. I always request Rich for our service maintenance. Rich knows are house, us and our pets. Last week our water heater stopped working and we called Pack-Timco at 11:30pm. We did not know Rich was on duty.
Rich came right over.t. He checked everything out, made sure the gas line coming into the house was turned off. He reassured us we were safe and asked me to call the office in the morning. The next day on his lunch hour he called us to see how we were doing, told me he was just checking up on us. I just can not say enough about Rich, he is super!

Excellent company overall. We called about some water dripping from a unit they installed about 4 years ago. The maintenance man who came out, Jerry, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, professional and fully explained everything he was doing and why. If possible I would highly recommend asking for Jerry if you need any maintenance done.

Jerry and Angel came out to do our routine maintenance on 3 AC units. Jerry had done an excellent job of repairing our AC in May when it went down during a heat wave. They were both professional, transparent, and explained what the issues were and what the options were to repair. They take great care in their work and showed me filter options as one caused a bit more noise. they easily could have just done their work and left me wondering about the mystery sound. A great team that'll keep us coming to Pack-Timco!

We're a long-standing customer of PackTimco. They are very professional on the phone, and their technicians are experienced, thoughtful, diligent and thorough in the home. As a company, we know that they stay on top of issues and communicate effectively until a problem is solved. Their technician, Jerry, did our 6-month maintenance yesterday. He has been to our home before, and remembered to check on his prior work on our electric water heater as well as inspecting our heating system.
He is a skilled operator, explained everything that he was doing, and provided a lot of confidence that he was dedicated to giving us the highest level of service. Thank you Jerry and PackTimco!

The Pack-Timco service rep, Jerry P. was absolutely outstanding! His response time to our call, on a Sunday night, was extremely quick. I was impressed by his diagnostic skills and greatly appreciated his professionalism and enthusiasm regarding his work. If you are a Pack Timco customer, I highly recommend getting a service contract with them. If you are not a Pack Timco customer, I highly recommend considering them for your HVAC needs. Thank you Jerry P and Pack Timco for keeping us cool! Frank Lodato FFld, CT

I've been dealing with Pack Timco for 10 plus years when they installed a heat pump/ac unit. At the beginning, the techs were good. That's changed over the last 3-4 years. About 2 years ago I paid over $800 for a new circuit board during the summer. When it was time for heat, no heat because they had installed the circuit board incorrectly.
They wasted so much time trying to figure out what the problem was until their senior tech "Niki" diagnosed the problem in 10 minutes. Two months ago, no emergency heat. Tech showed up, played with the thermostat, talked on his phone (personal calls), called Carrier customer service (on hold for ages to be talked through programming the thermostat) and finally decided I needed a new thermostat.
Spend 20 minutes in his van writing the bill. I actually paid for him to write up my bill. I got billed for 2.5 hours ($450)for all of the above. If he knew what he was doing, I figure it would have taken an hour at the most. The 2nd visit to install the thermostat went better. I'm not annoyed at paying for the new thermostat plus installation($1100) but I'm pissed at paying $450 for a guy who doesn't know what he's doing, yet racks up time because he doesn't know his job. I'm done with them, I won't use them again.
As for "Niki", who does installations, he's a genius, really knows his stuff. It's a pleasure watching him diagnose a problem. This is an honest and truthful review.

My 83 yr old neighbor called me last night to say that her Central A/C in her 2 BR condo was out (temps hovering @ 95F-99F all week= heatwave). I looked at the breaker panel, but the temp control system on her wall panel for her Carrier unit was blank/out. She called Pack-Timco, as she has a bi-annual maintenance contract with them that she pays@ $400 annually.
This contract supposedly covers "full check up & maintenance twice a year, in the Fall and again in the Spring". This is for a single occupant, who stays in FL 7 months out of the year over the cold months. Because of our cool, rainy Spring, she only turned on her A/C unit @ 2 weeks ago, and was not using the heat upon her return to CT in mid-May.
So after the Fall "maintenance check up", her HVAC wasn't used a great deal. And wasn't Spring (for the 2nd check up) just a month ago? To this company's credit, she called them at 9:10 pm, & the serviceman arrived @ 10:45 pm. That is the ONLY positive that I can give in this review. The worker walked upstairs, into the attic. After awhile, I asked what he thought the problem was, but he replied something incoherant on his way back upstairs, so rude.
Then he came back after awhile with a filter. I asked him why she needed a new filter if it was just (supposedly) replaced in the Fall, or within the past month or so (part of the bi-annual maintenance service)? The homeowner had left in November and didn't return until May. we know that her "heat" may have been running at a low level over the Winter, but still. Furthermore, he claimed that the "drain" was clogged.but from other similar situations that I've read about, it sounds more like the filter needed to be replaced or cleaned (because it never was) and then the system needed to be reset (push a reset button).
As soon as he put in the new filter (like a $30 item), the temperature panel on her wall was working (reset the button?) How sad that the elderly get taken advantage of - she was charged an ADDITIONAL $200 for his service call there! If this had been taken care of properly in the past month or so, I doubt that the A/C would have broken down. We are aware that filters get dirty, but be real here.
This is on top of the annual $400 for the "service contract", in which the service man is/was suppose to have changed all filters, cleaned out, and do a full maintenance check up, within the past 2 months. I am looking into a new HVAC company for her. Shameful & Disgusting.

This company is not reliable. After their technician performed a $250 system inspection in April with a clean bill of health, the AC unit in our new home developed severe leaks after first use in July. Turns out that air handler was installed incorrectly and rust is pervasive. After another $450 to stop the leak, AC unit is not usable. When asked why these problems were not noted and corrected in April, customer service insisted there was no problem and that we must have moved the air handler ourselves. Like so many FF County contractors, they don't seem to mind burning through customers.
