Moore Restoration Disaster

My family hired Moore Restoration when my grandmother's house got flooded. They showed up promptly and got to work immediately with a clear plan on what was needed, the time involved, and an accurate estimate on the costs. They delivered on time and actually provided additional drying time without charge. The work they performed was top rate and we would recommend them without reservation.

Critical: Quality Was zero help dealing with insurance and when I am having problems dealing with them they don't offer to help just sent threatening calls and emails way to help the little guy. Service: Sewage cleanup

Only hire this company as a last resort. They put up a good front but once the work begins, the excuses start, if you receive communication at all. Our ceiling collapsed, so we requested three estimates and Moore was our choice. The job started off great, but derailed soon after. The project manager had hired an incompetent drywall contractor that completely bungled the repair but supposedly completed it, after a couple of tries.

He tried to tell my wife that because we have an older home, built in 1971, that this was the best it was going to be. But when he was doing a walkthrough with me, his story changed. They had to bring in another company to complete it. It was almost two months from start to finish, with more problems and excuses than would be reasonably expected.

From top to bottom they are the best restoration company around.

Moore employees did what they wanted to do to my house. Not what I specifically walked thru with Larry Hubble the estimator. I walked Larry through the house telling him exactly what I wanted done. He wrote the estimate. The project manager Brad Waite came out and we walked through the job. No problems. All in agreement. Then the employees came. I specifically went through what was going to happen.

None of the employees had even read their work orders before they got there they all admitted to me. The project manager spent maybe.maybe 10 minutes at the site while they were working because he was just too busy. I had to work in the afternoon but that morning I came home to check on progress 3 times. Each time the roofers were on my porch on the shade.

Then The project manager had the nerve to send me a form asking me to fill it out that says the work was completed before they ever even finished the job. Then when I came home for the day I found they had done nothing near what the work order was what the estimate was or what I had paid half of in advance. I went through the estimate line by line adding up what they did.

It was over $900 of work they did not do. Then they kept 20% of that difference because of wording in their contract. The same contract that is voided by them not doing what they agreed. I've spoke to 3 different people at the company, sent multiple emails to them, asked to speak to a supervisor, manager, and owner. Not a single response. I should also add that I went ahead and paid them what they said I owed them just so I can have this horrible experience behind me.

I have worked construction before so I know what I was looking at and what I wanted done. I feel so badly for all the people that they have done work for over the years that have no construction knowledge. If my experience is any indication of the way this company does business, they likely didn't get what they expected, paid for, or agreed upon in the contract. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

During 2020, we had a shed fire that resulted in significant water damage throughout our Indiana home. Having never navigated a fire-loss we hired Moore Restoration based on the knowledge and transparency of their team. They managed the fire, smoke and water mitigation and then the entire rebuilding process. This involved a new roof, new rafters, rebuilding the garage, replacing all of the flooring, many of the walls, and a completely new kitchen. Moore was responsive to questions, knowledgeable about options, and helpful in navigating our claim. They finished the house late last week and it is just beautiful. We are so pleased with the work. I would hire Moore again without hesitation.

The people at Moore Restoration were professional, knowledgeable, punctual and courteous. They resolved a difficult problem with my ban board that was compromising the integrity of my floors and joists. Everyone from Larry, the estimator, to Dale, the supervisor, to Andy and Tony, the expert workmen were easy to work with. They did an excellent job. I would recommend them to anyone.

Moore Restoration was the only company I could find that worked with my insurance company and they were very responsive. I was very impressed with the work done and pricing was great they even checked in several times with me to make sure I understood what was happening next. They went out of tgeir way to work around my schedule as well. Great job guys and I will be calling you in the future.

A vehicle struck the corner of our home, extensively damaging everything from the brick, wall framing, to the garage door. Moore Restoration came in quickly to secure the job site and damaged area. They quickly provided estimates for repairs and once chosen, were on site and working within days of the incident. The work was all first rate and and done correctly the first time.

I'm thankful that we chose them for all of these reasons. They truly set the precedence for responsiveness, timelines, quality of work, and overall professionalism. Great company!

We used Moore Restoration after a fire that rendered our home a complete loss. Moore was amazing from start to finish. Angie, who handled our contents inventory, was outstanding. Larry Hubbell, our project manager, was exceptional. He went above and beyond to make sure things were done correctly and timely. Every Moore employee was wonderful. Our house turned out better than we could have ever imagined. Two thumbs up and five stars are in order for the entire Moore Restoration team!

Moore Restoration was great to work with! They were incredibly professional and kind onsite, and did an amazing job. We did have a couple issues pop up, but they were so fast to get someone out to our house and fix it. We will definitely use them again.
