Cliff Ellis started the company in 1978 as a one-man operation specializing in cleaning chimneys, residential and commercial properties, and performing restoration services on insurance claims. He decided to use the Old English spelling of "Compleat" to set the company apart. Over the years, the company's service offerings expanded to meet the growing needs of its customers and keep pace with a rapidly changing industry. As the company grew between 1978 and 1995, the home office facilities were moved three times in the Lititz area.

Unfortunately I had a water disaster in my home! This company's name with a couple others were given to me that evening So We decided to go with them and called around 8pm! They came to our home that evening to start drying out our home and look at our mess! It was a Sunday evening and they didn't care! I was so Impressed with the guys that came to Our home!
Communication was GREAT! They directed us in the right direction of what to do next and told us not to worry and they took care of a lot of things that they really didn't need to do! The one young man that we dealt with was Brett and he was wonderful!
