Our company is over thirty years old and to this date has never subcontracted the installation of a pool. Each pool installation has at all times "on the job" the owner, Dave Scheidel. 2. A two million dollar liability insurance policy insures you against any accident that may occur during construction.
With the rising cost of chlorine, and the promise of only future increases, we at Scheidel Pools are promoting what is called a CHLORINE GENERATOR. It is a small unit that mounts in the plumbing near your pump and filter and MAKES chlorine out of salt that is added to your pool. Generally, you will only have to add salt in the spring to compensate for last year's "splash out" and /or water removed from pool for winterization.
Once the salt is delivered, use your pool brush to stir up any non-dissolved traces of salt. Reset Generator by flipping timer switch off then back on - a lot of lights will flash for two to three minutes - that's normal. Look at the Salt Level lights on your Generator, if it glows red or yellow, add one 50 pound bag of salt right into your pool (not the skimmer) and let dissolve.
Keep your pool clean the easy way - by using an automatic pool cleaner! We carry the best, Tiger Shark by AQUAVACthe company whose pool cleaners were used at the past five Olympic Games. Aqua Vac, the company whose pool cleaners were used at the past five Olympic Games, is proud to offer the most advanced portable pool cleaner made for those who insist upon the very best.

Dave and his crew put an hour pool about 7 years ago, and it's been absolutely wonderful. They did a quick quality job with great communication and a great process. I can't recommend them enough. There's a reason why they don't advertise, and that's because of the former customers. I think we spread enough news about them to keep them busy.

It has been since 2009 I believe and I think they did a spectacular job on the installation of my pool and there haven't been any issues with the pool itself, and when purchased it was suggested to get the solar heating which in my case was installed nicely in 4 rows atop my garage. Once, the first or second year, one of the panels failed somehow and they were quick to replace the panel immediately.
All was covered under a warranty so no problem. A couple of weeks ago a panel or the hardware joint started to leak and I left a message for them to advise me or repair the problem. I heard nothing and after another message left nothing again. Two more calls were made and each time a lovely lady answered and stated she would have DAVE SCHEIDEL, the owner, call me.
A few more days and nothing, no calls. I waited a couple of more and still no callback so I called again, spoke with the same professional representative, who was as nice as before and was informed again she would give Dave THE MESSAGE. That was about a week ago and it is now today's date, 05Jul2016, and 0730 this morning I was still sleeping and my phone rang.
Upon answering I realized it was DAVE SCHEIDEL, I replied "Hi Dave, the reason I called was about a leaky panel that the pool maintenance people LANKHEET POOL AND SPA had discovered and I need it fixed. His response was that if they were worth their salt they would fix it. I informed him that they don't use that style of heater, and Scheidel said maybe try the manufacturer for advice, or do it myself.
I told him I had no desire to get on the roof and fix it and that's why I called you. First I'll say this, if you knew me you would know I am a standup honest guy/consumer who during my life have never ever stiffed anyone or had anyone knocking on my door looking for a debt. So having asked for service his reply was, unfortunately I can't mimic his tone or volume or that he talks without pause giving you no room to respond.
The gist of this rude man, aka DAVE SCHEIDEL, was that he wasn't coming out, since years earlier on a date and year he couldn't recall, he alleges that we had butted heads on the phone over something he couldn't remember, and I still owe him $800.00, and that I said I would take my business elsewhere. I asked if he was sure of the customer he was having this problem because knowing that it wasn't me and thinking that maybe it was another guy named Steve. SCHEIDEL replied "no I know who you are, you're Nayzur, pronouncing my name incorrectly and not even close to being correct. i told him it is pronounced like it is spelled and he said, in a disgusting manner "what is that anyway, what kinda name is that, ? as though he had realized he crapped his own pants, again. i said it is my last name that i shared with my deceased father, which only prompted him to say, 'it doesn't matter', so, like a child, I said, ok DAVE SHITTLE, something he apparently didn't appreciate, because he started with blabbing away unintelligibly and hung up I know this conversation never took place and the only time I spoke to him was when we met as he was installing the pool and maybe to report the first leak, PERIOD!
I called back but he apparently wasn't available. The nice rep looked up anything owed and I was told that in 2012 I had a $450.00 bill unpaid, I didn't know this, because I never received a bill and several years had passed and the rep on the phone couldn't explain why the bill never went out, so now in retrospect, i think the guy took me for $450.00, and was just either drunk After reading this maybe you can make a decision but remember, I do have a nice pool and am not affected by this man's delusions, Nor can I be angry with him since he truly believes he's right, He just needs a lesson in phone etiquette, social graces and if money is owed then tell the people until satisfied or go to court. Don't sit on it and possibly tell the wrong customer. End result is just what DAVE SCHEIDEL wanted, so i guess I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! Thanks Mr. SHITTO

I had to replace my liner. I have had past experience with Scheidel but also checked around with other companies that friends had referred me to. Dave called me back the same day, had someone out to measure and completed the job much faster than I had anticipated. Best part yet, his price was $350 cheaper than the closest competitor.

Do NOT use these people to open or close your pool, unless you like getting raped. I like my pool, but was charged $390 for a less than one hour, simple job. I happened to be home and watched when they came to open my pool and was shocked at how simple it is to do, then stunned when I was given the bill. No excuse for ripping off a formerly loyal customer.
They high charge is totally arbitrary. You can get your pool open for around $225 by doing a tiny bit of shopping around, which I will be doing from now on. Not only was the work expensive, it was shoddy as some of my inlet jets were screwed in crooked and I had to redo them, and I also had to fish out plastic spring shield off my tramp cover from the bottom of the pool. Last fall, they missed hooking up some of my cover springs. Super disappointed with the service the past few times.

Called for review, suggestions and potential purchase of computerized equipment to ease care of current pool. Owner was not interested in helping me, reviewing my pool situation or for suggesting equipment for assisting me in my current pool. Not sure if he thought I couldn't afford his equipment (which is far from truth) but he blatantly blew me off.
Would not recommend this establishment. Disappointment. Will find another place to purchase pool equipment and products. Sorry he thought I was unable to afford his services.
