The worst with communication. Had this guy come out and work on a problem with my furnace. He told me I needed a new board to operate a valve. Several hundred dollars and only an hour after he left I'm stuck with the same problem. Havnt been able to get this guy on the phone and won't answer email. Got somebody else who did couple hours work to help me sort out my situation. Turns out I have a old/ low quality furnace.
Could pump money into it but new guy says probably better off getting new. I even asked Roland if my furnace was old. He literally said "mmmm uhhhhh". He had no answer. New guy gave me all kinds of info and let me know all my options before proceeding with solution or even charging me. This company has literally left me in the cold. Been living for 2 weeks with space heaters.

We've Used Ron from A to Z HVAC Three times now for our heating and air conditioning problems. My wife and i can't say enough good things about Ron and his company. He also installed a central AC for my 82yr old Mother and she won't use another HVAC company either. Very affordable pricing, prompt and courteous service as well. I'ts extremely hard to find a honest company with great customer service these days. I'm a very happy return customer.

Not one to leave reviews, however, feel an obligation to warn potential customers about A to Z. We had an icing over problem with our AC system. Called A to Z who came out and diagnosed there was a leak in the system causing it to lose refrigerant. Claims because he did not know the history of the system(which we told him was maybe 4 years old) that it would be difficult to find the leak.
He simply added refrigerant at a cost of $500 plus 1 hour of labor and a service call charge. He said we can look at it again next year to see if it looses pressure. He made no attempt nor offered to do a dye test to find the leak immediately and fix the problem. Here we are less than a week later and the system is iced over again because the $50 a pound refrigerant is leaking out.
With a total cost of over $800 we reluctantly call him back to let him know what was going on and question why he would not do a leak test to actually fix the problem vs. putting a band-aide on it. He said he was trying to save us money and that doing a dye test is very expensive. I say spending $800 and getting nothing for it is very expensive. It is my belief that he took advantage of the fact that it was only my wife that was home at the time who also was a little shocked at the bill, however, wrote the check anyway. Unfortunate.
If you decide to use him. Make sure you get costs up front and make sure he itemizes his invoice in terms of parts and have him show you the readings of the refrigerant as to how much he is actually putting in the system. It's all about transparency. Of course my true advise would be to call someone else who has more than one google review and stay away from home advisor. Best of luck

Ron is a delight to do business with. You might wonder what could be so hard about installing HVAC systems, but believe me I have lived through the nightmare of having work done by a company that made me know the value of an experienced and highly skilled installer. He is also a lot of fun and extremely quick to respond to all our needs.

Ron from A to Z HVAC was here Thursday 5/14, repairing our Furnace/AC. While he was here working on our system, we had a nice conversation. He was very polite, knowledgeable, informative and cordial. he repaired and then performed "Preventative Maintenance" on our failed equipment swiftly and efficiently. We will definitely use A to Z again, solely on Ron's professionalism & expertise. He did not pay me to say these nice things, but did volunteer to babysit my Yellow Labrador the next time we go out of town! Thanx again Ron!

After reading one of the old reviews, I have to believe these guys have REALLY upped their game. I bought their service through Groupon (less than half price). I made an appointment and they were out the next day at 10am. Correction. they were here at 9:55. Helpful, courteous, knowledgeable guy who showed me what was wrong. cleaned out my system. and helped reinstall my thermostat. And he was gone in 30 minutes. How much better does it get?

Put out a search to have 3 furnaces inspected in two adjacent homes and got a call back immediately and had the owner at my house within a couple of hours! Now THAT's fast service! He gave me a great price for annual service and tune-up and I found him to be very professional, courteous and knowledgeable and informative. I will definitely use A to Z for my heating needs in the future. Highly recommend!

I had a horrible experience with this company. I called in late December with the problem of having no heat. I drove home from work (in Vancouver to Portland) to meet the repair tech. He was at my home for a total of 15 min, 5 of which were spent with him in his van talking on the phone. He then diagnoised the problem as electrical, informed me that "he couldnt fix the problem but was still going to charge me".
I understand that he deserved to be paid for coming out, but was NOT happy about paying $80.00 for 10 min of actual work. Whatever, I just wanted to get heat back. I immediately called a electrician. The electrican shows up and finds out that there is no power going out but there is coming in (I was told no power at all). It ended up being a loose connection at the furnance that the ELECTRICIAN fixed.
When I called for my money back as it was a furnance related problem. I was told well you signed off on the paperwork. WOW! What happened to accountability & customer service?

Just happened to call them because they're close. The guys were very helpful (explained things to me & answered all my questions), quick (able to come out that afternoon & resolved issue by the next morning), and affordable (labor costs only $80/hr). I will definitely call them if my heater acts up again!
