We used Permatreat for a couple years and our bug guy Buck was AMAZING! As for the "sales" guy Matt it was a different story. He would come in excited and telling you all of the things you "need" and if you didn't do the things he got visibly upset. The next time he came out to do a check it was followed with less than customer service and a half a** inspection when we had a wasp and bee issue.
When I called to cancel the yard guard and bug service I was met with "Lisa" and when I asked to cancel she also gave an upset negative attitude. When I told her how great Buck the big guy was she followed up with the comment of "Well it is his fault your canceling because he didn't take care of the problem". Well no he's only using the products Permatreat provides and it's not his fault they don't perform like another company's.
So again just to be sure that management sees this BUCK IS YOUR BEST BUG GUY! I couldn't recommend another customer service guy just wish the products worked like the other company I'm going back to.

I have been a Perma Treat Pest & Termite customer for over 2 years and I can honestly say that the service they provide is amongst the best I have had ever! We also met with a slick salesman this year, promised to install lights, wreaths the whole works. We signed contract and given a date in dec., they never showed up or called, I had to contact them and was told they made a mistake on scheduling, then never showed up and not called, I called and was told crew walked off, they didn't honor the signed contract, very unprofessional and will be looking to find new vendor.

If you want basic pest control, the technicians are nice. That is the only reason they get a star. Do NOT let them sell you anything else. They cannot do the work. They do not communicate after initial contact. They still charge full price for incomplete work and pretend it's done. Do yourself a favor and use anyone else.

Be very careful if you decide to use them for having your Christmas lights. Last year, there slick salespeople convinced use to sign with them a three year contract. Not only did they NOT install the lights when promised, but installed the wring the of lights because they "did not have the right ones in stock". This year, we contacted them in September to install our lights.

They are quick on sending out bills to renew your contract but not quick on doing yearly inspections. My inspection has been due on termites since July and no one has called to schedule. My dehumidifier was due for maintenance check in August. I had to call to schedule an appointment which was suppose to be the end of August. The guy called and. said he would not be able to get here that week but I would be the first on his list of calls to make on September 13th today is October 14th and I have yet to receive a call. Needless to say I'm aggravated.

They use dishonest billing practices. They informed me that I had not paid for work completed. After paying for the work done they informed me I was paid up until 6/21. I would never use this business. I still saw pests after my home was treated. The sales men showed me terminates on my property. However, other reputable organizations informed me I did not have a problem. They are scammers.

My parents were long time customers of PermaTreat, but we canceled the plan when my dad passed and my mom was moving. Upon the home inspection, we found out we needed to get treated for carpenter bees. I called PermaTreat and they came out the next morning to gives us a quote and completed the service the following day. They were so professional and kind. I would highly recommend them!

One way is to not have one of their inspectors file a false inspection and to show no regard for the fact that the home was inhabitable and that the homeowner would be homeless had it not been for a friend letting them live there until repairs were made. It took 2 yrs of negotiations to settle with them through a lawsuit when they were clearly at. fault.
They did an inspection for me for a Real Estate purchase. The inspection report was false, stateing that there was no sign termites and no sign of previous damage. When I started renovation, over $60,000 in damage was discovered. They showed absolutely no concern that the house wasn't safe to live in and when I asked about them providing housing for me while waiting for the home repairs to be made, they wouldn't even discuss it. I had to hire an attorney and sue them. I wouldn't recommend them or any company affiliated with them. If I'm right, Orkin is. A quick Google will give you that info.

I've used Permatreat services since I moved to town in 2002 when my apartment had a major roach infestation. Once I bought my home, I continued with their services, but now as a homeowner. They've treated my older downtown home for powderpost beetles, termite prevention and an every other month general pest control service. Their staff are always friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend their services.

Recently Bryan Harris came by to do an annual termite inspection. He was thorough, precise and pleasant to talk with. He is a stellar representative as is Phil who comes quarterly for pest management. Phil has been with us since 2007 and even came by several weeks ago on his own time to check on us as we were not answering our phone. He did not know we had been away for 3+weeks. These 2 gentlemen display superior service and commitment. We are glad they are our team as they represent the company extremely well.

If I could give a zero, I would. Was doing a refinance and was required by the VA to have a termite inspection. Spent an hour and a half walking the entire house looking for termite damage. He could not find ANY damage on or in the house. Came across, .a scrap piece of wood, that was NEAR the house and claimed it had termite damage. (small piece in pics) Then 2 logs that were near the porch, claimed they had termite damage.
There was none. And then said the entire house needed to have an $1800 termite prevention treatment! Then had the audacity to say "Don't worry, the VA will just roll it into your re-fi"!.are you serious? Literally targeted a veteran, on veterans day weekend no less, and then tried to take me for $1800! I got a second opinion and they signed me off as finding no termite damage to the house. Seriously, I would name drop, but I don't stoop as low as these crooks. I am only adding this so that another veteran doesn't get taken advantage of. Sick man, seriously.

I have tried several times to contact Orkin to cancel my service and transfer it to the people who are buying my home. I paid the entire year in advance. Evidently they don't care about that. Instead of trying to make this a seamless event they just ignore messages. So if you use their service, DO NOT pay up front. They are very non responsive once they get your money.

I am looking to set up my spare room for your technician since he spends so much time here. I am very disappointed in your reactive approach to pest control instead of preventative measures. I still have ants, I still have spiders, the crickets are chirping and I still have mice. You can come out and spray and pray all you want. it's not working. Time to give another company a chance. I'll be calling tomorrow to cancel my service before I'm billed another $80. Plus you owe me for 4 mouse traps and 2 fruit pies.

I called them for a pest problem a guy lays traps because he didn't see anything I call again because I saw a problem all he did was come out and lay another trap. I then call again listen I just had someone come out and this shouldn't be a problem but low in behold it is. That was weeks ago I haven't heard anything back so I then see another bug I call again still nothing in return. I've contacted the manager this is so ridiculous I can't explain it. If this isn't taken care or with in the week I will call someone else out here.

We used Perma Treat to get rid of the cockroaches that our daughter brought home with her from college. UGH! Perma Treat was great! Mike came out several times until they were DEAD. He continued to come out monthly until the contract ended. He was efficient, professional, and kind - and patient putting up with me going on about my cockroaches. Recently we discovered we had bats in our attack.
We called Perma Treat and spoke with Josh, who took care of everything. Again, Perma Treat was great. The guys who came out were thorough and professional. And again they put up with me kind of being nuts about having bats in my attic. Would recommend without hesitation.

These people are horrible in Waynesboro Virginia. I was told if we have problems to call. Well, I have called the salesperson, I have called his boss and his boss. No one calls back. Luckily there is a 30 day written notice to cancel contract. These people take the money and don't do anything for it. Really bad customer service. Find someone else if you have a pest/termite problem. Also check out their Perma Treat Employee Reviews site. Their employees don't like them either!

I hired Permatreat to encapsulate my crawlspace prior to selling my house. While the core of the work was satisfactory, I broke the cardinal rule of being a consumer: I paid for the work up front. I checked their work after they said they were done and there was a big roll of wire left in the crawlspace. After several calls and emails, they finally came back to remove the wire.
They damaged my house in the process. I have yet to be reimbursed for the damages. I guess since I was moving overseas and had paid upfront, they felt no responsibility to remedy the damage they caused. I don't know how much the damage affected my sale price, but the lesson is don't pay for any services until the work is done.

My rating is based solely on our service technician who would receive 10 stars if I could. Josh is very professional, courteous, respectful, addresses all of our concerns, and always arrives on time. He's definitely an asset to the company and I would highly recommend him for any position he applies for. My only draw back for the company is you're locked into a long contract when you only need the service during a certain time of the year. The only pest problem we have is during the warmer months so having a year around contract is a waste of our money.

We used them last summer for yard guard. I will give them 2 stars because the guard did work and at first the tech seemed legit and went above and beyond. Everything was going fine until the end of the summer. We had a lot of rain and it was impossible/pointless to do the last yard guard for September. By October, it was cool enough we didn't need the yard guard(no bugs).
I contacted the company and asked if we could do the third one this coming spring. I was planning on signing up for another series in 2016 anyway. I got a message from the technician saying that he had decided to go ahead and spray my yard because the company would not let me delay the last session. He then came on to my property without my permission sprayed my yard and then we get a bill stuck to the door.
I called the company twice and ask to speak to a manager about the issue as I had not agreed to or scheduled the last service. I got a voicemail and left a message. I never got any calls back whatsoever. I understand that this is a series of three however I do not respect a company who has this level of customer service. While I do not have a problem with the technician himself as he had always been nice, I do not appreciate a company forcing a service on me and more or less trespassing on my property to perform the service.
We will no longer be using or recommending Permatreat. I feel like they did not show a level of integrity and honesty that I would expect. They will end up losing our business and any recommendations from us in the future.

Have been using this company for the past year now. We have always had the same exterminator ( Alfonso ) since with this company. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable and a total asset to this company. Always takes the time to make sure we are not having any issues at the house. Perma Treat helped save the day for me and my clients. I needed an inspection for Wood destroying insects for a real estate closing. Another company let me down big time. NOT to worry I called and talked to the very helpful and friendly staff at Perma Treat and they had me get in touch with Josh! Who I have nothing but praise for, he was out at the property within 15 mins, did a very detailed inspection and had the office fax me the report in less than 1 hour.

I called and made a 2 pm appointment today. It's 4:45 pm and I called and was told by the receptionist that they apologize and they were uncertain why to technician did not show up. Thank you for wasting my time. Well thank God for the competition who will fit me in tomorrow and is by the way 30% cheaper. Blessing come in many forms.
