I decided to contract with Garlock-French to replace the shingles on my brand new home in Lake Elmo that sustained light hail damage within a month after moving in. Due to their extreme negligence, inexperience, and lack of care, my home sustained water damage in all four walls and ceiling on the first and second floor while while it rained all day and they had the entire top roof off.
They did not follow industry standards which is to work in sections and tarp off open areas as quickly as possible if it rains. I had water streaming through light fixtures and down walls, to which the foreman told me I just needed to let it dry out and they would come back later to touch up the paint. Needless to say, I called a water mitigation company to come out and respond to the situation correctly.
Now I have holes in my walls, trim removed, wet clothes in my closet, wet carpet, and industrial dehumidifiers and fans running everywhere. It'll get better but it's going to take a lot of work, time, and aggravation. Think twice before you hire Garlock-French!

Garlock French has been helping my family with any ice dam, roof leak, or in this latest case, a whole cedar roof replacement. There is no equal to their quality and careful attention to detail by their long-standing staff of experts. They really care about doing the job right and meeting your expectations above all else. Shop around if you like, but this is the company to award the job to, hands down.

Moved into a new house and used them to clean the gutters because the previous owners had used them for years. They charged us an INSANE amount. We wouldn't have used them again anyways because of the cost, but since then we have had a contractor out who said our downspouts are completely stuffed and now someone out doing our ice dams who said the gutters on the top are also totally full of debris. Terrible all around.

I love Garlock French Roofing and th job that they have done for us. They came out when we needed them most, with a VERY NARROW WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY. From the sales person, Phil to the skilled team that worked on our cedar shake roof, we simply cannot say enough about GFR! They may be a tiche more expensive than other companies, but they know what they ar doing. We got an amazing job done and what we feel is a very fair price. We would HIGHLY recommend GFR!

There was some hail damage in my neighborhood this past summer. Garlock-French came out to take a look and found some damaged shingles. They contacted my insurance folks and met with an adjuster to point out the damage. We were approved for a new roof on the spot. After getting the paper work dealt with they gave me a time and had the roof done with just a one day delay due to weather. They were extremely easy to work with and very knowledgable. I highly recommend them.

A couple of wks ago I called to see if I could get help with a leaky roof at a rental property I own. I was told that Garlock-French was the best option in the city for roofing. I have made repeated attempts to connect the local rep. After about the third missed call, I asked him to text or email me back, since I am not always able to step away from work to catch his call.
No text, no email, not even a return phone call. I've called him several more times this week and asked him to return my call, text or email. Still nothing. After two weeks, I still have a leaky roof and some really pissed tenants. I'm officially giving up on Garlock French. They might be great but I will never know because THEY CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO CONNECT WITH POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS.
