I just wanted to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Blue Umbrella Waterproofing. My fiance and I reached out to other companies but Steve and Tony knocked it out the park for us. From explaining the entire process during our first sit down and being extremely patient and answering all of my questions (and trust me I had a lot) to being prompt on the day of work.

OUTSTANDING! This company is so honest and leads with great integrity that the inspector Tony identified the root cause of where our water was leaking into our basement and said we may not need to install French drains which would have cost us about $4,000. Our previous owner drilled holes into our sidewalk outside of fireplace that leads to our basement for termite treatment.

The cement covering holes eroded and water was leaking into the basement. We covered the holes with cement 2 days ago and with this passing rain not one drop of water is in the basement. We've had three other basement waterproofing companies come to her house and no one noticed it except for blue umbrella waterproofing. The owner even took the time to call me to ask how the inspection went. This is the only company I would use in the future.

They patiently walked me through the entire process, answering an avalanche of questions and ensuring that I had all of the information I required to make a great decision. They even went the extra mile, using their equipment to create trenches for me to upgrade my cast iron plumbing to PVC and still managed to get the entire job done in two days time! Steve the owner personally came to my home to ensure that the job was being executed to his standard.

UPDATE 6/15/22: Steve, the owner, got back to us regarding the issue. He managed to reach out and speak with the plumbing inspector to find out what needed to be done to fix the problem. He then sent his guys back to our house and re-routed the pvc piping in order for the water to discharge out into our backyard lawn. The inspector came back and we passed.

Big thank you to these guys for following through and helping us to get this resolved. 2nd Review (5/27/22): I am changing my review due to the sump pump installation they did failing the municipal town inspection. The inspector told us that the tubing for the pump cannot feed out into the driveway and must go out to either the lawn or landscape. He told us that this is standard code for all sump pump installations and that the contractors should have known this.

When we spoke to Steve, the owner, regarding the issue, he was somewhat dismissive and told us that he'll have to check his schedule and see when they can come out again. Also, he told us that it could cost us an extra $800-$900 to fix. Why do we have to pay an extra fee for something that wasn't up to code? Honestly, I do not understand why this issue wasn't addressed in the beginning when they were doing the installation. Licensed professionals should know how to install a sump pump that is up to the standard codes.

No excuses. If anyone pays a reputable waterproofing contractor thousands of dollars for a sump pump to be installed, you expect them to do right by the customer and come out to fix the issue. 1st Review (4/23/22): Steve, the owner, was very informative and explained everything very well. The crew did a great job cleaning up when they were done, which was much appreciated. Excellent pricing for the quality of work. Highly recommended.

Blue umbrella waterproofing installed french drains in my home. Tony gave me a fair price, walked me through the process and answered any questions I had. Their crew arrived on the date we agreed on and finished the job in one day. Steve, the owner, came by to oversee his crew's work. The drain sump look great. The crew did not damage any of my belongings and left my basement clean. Also, Steve helped me remove some excess garbage I found while cleaning out my basement for a fair extra charge. Blue Umbrella showed up on time, finished everything in ONE DAY, cleaned up the site to make my basement even cleaner than it was before they started, looks great! I'm very happy with the results.

Blue Umbrella did a fantastic job installing a sump pump and interior french drain system in my house. Tony did a great job explaining the project to me during our initial conversation. The crew that came over was able to install the perimeter pipes, dig out a new sump pit, and install the sump all in one day, which was a huge plus. I had other places tell me it would take up to a week.

And the final product looks great. Not only were they efficient with their time but they were also thorough. At one point the owner even stopped by and had the team fix a minor issue with my Bilco steps while they had it removed to get underneath. Somehow they even managed to thoroughly clean up the downstairs and yard before nightfall.

During the initial visit with Tony, he explained the whole process, took accurate measurements and showed us exactly what they would be doing. We just had Blue Umbrella come and do our French drains around our whole basement and add two pumps. To start Tony was excellent when we meet with him first. He answered all our questions and we didn't feel pressured in making a decision right away. The day of the install the crew came with Tony and went over everything. They only took 1 1/2 days to finish.

They were extremely clean and polite. Robin the foreman answered all my questions with no hesitation as they were completing the job. They wore masks to insure our safety and theirs. They covered all my belongings with tarps and taped off areas from ceilings to floor with plastic. I had french drains installed along with a couple of sump pumps. Steve from blue umbrella came to provide the initial estimate. Steve was very professionalq, he explained in detail the work that was required and the options I had. The price quoted was very fair and comparable to other vendors. He then stayed in touch throughout the process Steve sent a large crew (7 men) to perform the work.

We recently purchased a home, and mold was found due to moisture in the basement. After the mold issue was resolved, we decided to waterproof the basement to avoid further issues. Blue Umbrella was highly recommended. They did a great job. They installed 2 heavy duty 1/2 horsepower sump pumps, 2 emergency battery backup sump pumps with built in high water alarms, 1 heavy duty Santa Fe dehumidifier which removes up to 70 pints a day of water from the air, and installed 14mil vapor barrier on exterior walls, stops moisture penetration, lifetime warranty.

I was unaware of how much work is involved to waterproof a basement. They did a lot of work which would take another page to list everything they did! Their price was fair, and it was worth every penny for our own peace of mind! Absolutely flawless service. I cannot give any higher praise and recommendation for Blue Umbrella Waterproofing. Steve and his crew showed up right on time ready to go the day of the job, no messing around right to it. We had a decent sized French drain system installed in our basement. Steve and his Blue Umbrella team really took care of all my waterproofing needs. My basement has been leaking with rain water for the past two months. After hiring a contractor and believing all my issues were solved, my basement continued to leak. I then got in touch with Blue Umbrella, and they really took the time to help solve my issue. I've got my french drain with pump installed about 10 months ago. I highly recommend Steve, he's great professional; he explained everything in detail, there was no unexplained items, nor extra charges later on.
